The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a $200 million loan agreement with Uzbekistan to modernise its electricity grids, the bank's press service reported. The deal was signed on October 15 in Bangkok, Thailand, by ADB President Masato Kanda and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov.
Azerbaijan's state budget is projected to allocate 13.2 billion manat for the restoration and reconstruction of territories liberated from occupation in 2027 to 2030. The Azerbaijani outlet Oxu.az reported the projection, which covers the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions.
Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev at the international forum Russian Energy Week. The main topic was modernising the republic's generating capacities and its electrical grid complex, according to the press service of the Rais of Tatarstan.

Bulgaria's Consumer Protection Commission will impose fines of between 10,000 and 50,000 euros for each food product found to have an unjustified price increase. Commission Chair Maya Manolova told Nova TV that the commission will continue to focus its inspections on food products.

Kazakhstan's Kurultai is set to consider the draft republican budget for 2027–2029 today. According to 24KZ, the budget covers the next three years, while deputies will also review amendments to the law on state awards.
Total revenue of Yakutia's state budget for 2027 is set to reach 337 billion 583 million rubles, the acting finance minister, Ivan Alekseyev, said. He presented the figures on October 15 at public hearings in the Il Tumen regional parliament. The hearings discussed draft law No. 445-7 on the republic's state budget for 2027 and the 2028 and 2029 planning period.
On 15 October, Kyrgyzstan's Jogorku Kenesh adopted in third reading amendments to the Labour Code concerning the indexation of wages. The document establishes wage indexation at the legislative level. According to the document, this is necessary to preserve the real purchasing power of salaries.
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, Qazinform News Agency reported, citing the press service of Akorda. An indefinite strike at the Kalecik filling facilities of Kıbrıs Türk Petrolleri (K-Pet) entered its second day on 15 October 2026, raising the risk of a fuel supply crisis. Fuel stocks at stations supplied by K-Pet are beginning to run out, and some stations in Lefkoşa have closed because they have no fuel left. The strike was launched by the Kıbrıs Türk Petrol İşçileri Sendikası (Petrol-İş).

Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan have exchanged a signed agreement on cooperation for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, also known as the Middle Corridor. The exchange was between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Agri-food exports from Tatarstan to India grew 2.3 times over the past year, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov said at a session of the second Russia-India business forum, “TIME: Russia – India. Mutual Efficiency,” held in Kazan. Exports reached $61 million this year, up from $26.6 million last year, an increase of $34 million or 129%.
Kazakhstan plans to raise the share of pension assets managed by private domestic companies to 20-30% by 2030, the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market said. The move is part of a capital market development programme to 2030 developed with the National Bank.

The state stake in Uzbekistan's national postal operator Uzbekiston Pochtasi (UzPost) has been transferred to trust management by WB INT EXPORT, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Russian marketplace Wildberries. According to an extract from the minutes of UzPost's shareholder meeting dated 21 September 2026, the trust management agreement was concluded on 30 December 2025.
