Agri-food exports from Tatarstan to India grew 2.3 times over the past year, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov said at a session of the second Russia-India business forum, “TIME: Russia – India. Mutual Efficiency,” held in Kazan. Exports reached $61 million this year, up from $26.6 million last year, an increase of $34 million or 129%.
According to Rospatent, Tatarstan has been granted approximately 1,200 patents for inventions, utility models and industrial designs since the start of the current year. The republic ranks fourth among Russian regions by this measure, the press service of the Tatarstan Ministry of Economy reported.
Tatarstan's minister of labour, employment and social protection, Elmira Zaripova, said India is a major source of young workers, with 7–8 million people entering its labour market each year and about 15 million Indian citizens working abroad. She spoke at a session during the II Russian-Indian business forum “TIME” in Kazan.

Innopolis University proposed cooperation to Indian colleagues and presented its Inno Cyber Range, a virtual environment where organisations can recreate their infrastructure and run cyber exercises. Deputy Security Director Mikhail Bolshakov said specialists learn to detect attacks, investigate incidents and protect systems there.
At Kazan International Airport, named after Gabdulla Tukay, a new Terminal B has been launched in test mode to serve domestic flights, with Tatarstan's head Rustam Minnikhanov taking part. The Tatarstan president's press service announced the launch.
The Government of the Russian Federation has formed an organizing committee to prepare and hold the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Gabdulla Tukay's birth and has approved its composition. According to Tatar-Inform, the order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
