International art project 'Mother Nature' invites dialogue on art and ecology in Ashgabat
The international exhibition “MAMA 'Mother Nature'” continues in Ashgabat. Conceived by Leyla Aliyeva, vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and curated by Emin Mamedov, the project combines contemporary art, ecological awareness and humanitarian dialogue. After shows in Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Georgia, Germany, Albania, Switzerland and Latvia, it arrived in Ashgabat directly from Madrid.
The gallery displays 116 works by 62 artists from 35 countries, including Turkmen artists Rustem Khaidov and Abdulmukhammet Deryaev. The centrepiece is 'Tree of Life', a heart-shaped sculpture by Leyla Aliyeva.
At the opening, Oguljahan Atabaeva, vice-president for medical activity of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation, described the show as a fruit of cooperation with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The exhibition runs until 30 November, with free admission.
