North Macedonia Deputy Transport Minister Kaltrina Zekolli Shaqiri visits Kocaeli

North Macedonia's Deputy Minister of Transport, Dr. Kaltrina Zekolli Shaqiri, visited Kocaeli as part of the Discover Kocaeli programme. In the city, she reviewed transport and infrastructure investments as well as tourism and culture projects on site.

The visit took place at the invitation of Kocaeli Metropolitan Mayor Tahir Büyükakın. Shaqiri toured the city's tourist areas, museums and cultural centres and received information about local development projects. She thanked Büyükakın and local institutions for their hospitality and said the practices in Kocaeli offered an important opportunity for sharing experience.

Shaqiri highlighted the role of inter-institutional cooperation and experience sharing in sustainable development. She said the experience gained during the visit could contribute to the development of cities in North Macedonia and to improving services provided to citizens.
