President Tufan Erhürman returns home after Ankara visits

President Tufan Erhürman, his wife Nilden Bektaş Erhürman and the accompanying delegation have returned home after visits in Ankara. Erhürman, together with his wife and the delegation, had attended events held in Ankara for the 29 October Republic Day and the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (TDT).

Speaking at the 13th TDT Summit during the Ankara visits, Erhürman said there is a political and legal basis for close relations with the Turkish Cypriot people. He stated that, in close consultation and cooperation with Turkey, they would continue working toward a fair and lasting solution in Cyprus.
