Azerbaijan prepares socio-economic development strategy for 2027-2030

Azerbaijan is preparing a Social-Economic Development Strategy for 2027-2030, APA reports. Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Axundov announced this at a joint meeting of Milli Majlis committees on natural resources, energy and ecology; labour and social policy; health; and international relations and inter-parliamentary ties, held today.

The meeting discussed the draft law on the 2027 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Axundov said that the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, which he linked to Zafar (Victory), has also opened new opportunities for the country's economic development.

He noted that the current year is the final year of the Social-Economic Development Strategy for 2022-2026. A new strategy for 2027-2030 is being prepared.
