Turkmenistan to mark 33rd anniversary of national manat

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting on the digital system, at which key issues of state life were considered.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on a programme of events timed to the 33rd anniversary of the manat's introduction into circulation. A scientific-practical conference is planned to mark the anniversary, under the theme "National manat – the foundation of rapid development in a new historical era."

The forum's agenda includes familiarising participants with the President's initiatives on socio-economic development, discussing large-scale transformations in the banking sector, and identifying ways to further strengthen cooperation with international financial institutions. After the report, the President instructed the vice-premier to ensure a high organisational level in preparing for the forthcoming forum.
