President Silyanovska-Davkova holds phone call with Azerbaijani President Aliyev

North Macedonian President Gordana Silyanovska-Davkova held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at her own request. According to a statement from the presidential cabinet, the call took place today.

In the statement, the two sides confirmed their readiness to advance friendly relations between North Macedonia and Azerbaijan by deepening political dialogue and developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The two presidents also exchanged views on growing problems amid the global energy crisis and on possible ways to address them.

The conversation took place in a spirit of friendship and mutual understanding, which the statement said was confirmed and strengthened by Silyanovska-Davkova's official visit to Baku. Silyanovska-Davkova and Aliyev agreed to continue and expand cooperation in the energy sector.
