UN Establishes International Day of Planet Greening at Kazakhstan's Initiative

The UN General Assembly has established the International Day of Planet Greening at the initiative of Kazakhstan. According to Khabar 24, citing 24KZ, the day will be marked every year on April 22.

The initiative was announced by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the general debate of the General Assembly last year. It was supported by 32 countries.

The new international day is intended to draw attention to the restoration of ecosystems, the development of green areas and the protection of the environment.
