Ashgabat and Arkadag to host V International Theatre Festival in November

Ashgabat and the smart city of Arkadag will become centres of international theatre life in November this year. Vice-Premier B. Seyidova reported on preparations for the V International Theatre Festival "Theatre Art of a Happy Era" at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting.

Leading theatre companies from various countries of the world will travel to Turkmenistan to take part in the creative forum. The programme will not be limited to stage productions. A working meeting of theatre directors and stage masters is also planned, where participants will discuss current issues of improving theatre art, exchanging experience and expanding international humanitarian cooperation.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that the state pays special attention to developing national stage art and strengthening cultural ties with foreign partners. He instructed the vice-premier to ensure a high organisational and substantive level for the upcoming festival.
