TURKPA Secretary General Ramil Hasan meets AK Party's Kürşad Zorlu in Türkiye

Ambassador Ramil Hasan, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), met Kürşad Zorlu on October 26 during Hasan's official visit to Türkiye, AZERTAG reported. Zorlu is Deputy Chairman of Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), responsible for relations with Turkic states, and a member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.

The sides stressed the importance of developing fraternal relations and the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, which they said serve as role models and leading advocates for other brotherly Turkic states. They also underlined TURKPA's role as a platform for strengthening interparliamentary cooperation, aligning legislation, protecting member states' national interests and countering forces seeking to undermine Turkic unity.

Zorlu highlighted the importance of Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations for the Turkic world as a whole and said Türkiye would continue to support the Assembly's work. Hasan briefed him on the 15th Meeting of the Council and the 15th Plenary Session of TURKPA, held in Bishkek.
