Mirziyoyev Thanks Aliyev for Strengthening the Organization of Turkic States

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted the role of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the development of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). According to Report, he made the remarks in a speech at the 13th OTS summit held in Ankara.

Mirziyoyev expressed deep gratitude to Aliyev for his significant work during Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the organization, aimed at strengthening fraternal ties among Turkic peoples and raising relations to a new level. He also said Uzbekistan is ready to host the organization's next summit.

The president thanked summit participants for supporting the candidacy of Uzbek representative Mirvohid Azimov for the post of OTS Secretary General. “I am confident that the new Secretary General will make a worthy contribution to the implementation of the organization's priority tasks and the future development of our cooperation,” he added.
