Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry Receives Head of Eastern Committee of German Economy

Turkmenistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting between Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Michael Harms, executive director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy.

The parties discussed current issues of Turkmen-German cooperation, with particular attention to expanding trade and economic ties, developing investment cooperation and strengthening contacts between business circles of the two countries. They stressed the importance of further developing regular dialogue between Turkmenistan and Germany, as well as cooperation with the Eastern Committee of German Economy, to expand mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.

Special attention was paid to prospects for joint projects in industry, energy, agriculture and the transport and logistics sector, as well as opportunities to introduce advanced German technologies. At the close of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further strengthening the bilateral partnership and expanding practical cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany.
