Samruk-Kazyna oversees 69 investment projects worth nearly 44 trillion tenge

Samruk-Kazyna is overseeing the implementation of 69 large investment projects worth nearly 44 trillion tenge in Kazakhstan. The projects cover energy, oil and gas, transport and digital infrastructure, and are directly linked to tasks set by the Head of State in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan. Progress and construction schedules were discussed at a meeting chaired by Nurlan Zhakupov, chairman of the fund's board.

Zhakupov ordered tighter control over energy projects, including new generating capacity in Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Almaty and Ekibastuz, as well as gas processing plants. These facilities are expected to contribute to Kazakhstan's energy surplus by 2029. Each project has an approved schedule, budget, contractors and responsible management. Problems with design, equipment, financing or contractors must be resolved in advance.

Zhakupov stressed the personal responsibility of top executives, warning that unjustified delays will have personnel consequences. The fund's Board of Directors is overseeing the projects, and portfolio companies have been instructed to ensure timely commissioning.
