Turkmen President Proposes Network of Young CICA Ambassadors of Trust

On 15 October, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku, proposed establishing a Network of Young CICA Ambassadors of Trust.

The head of state stressed the importance of humanitarian cooperation, noting that the rich cultural traditions and historical ties among CICA member peoples provide a reliable foundation for strengthening mutual understanding. Turkmenistan supports expanding academic exchanges and developing partnership within youth platforms. Berdimuhamedov said intensifying youth diplomacy would be a powerful stimulus for engaging the new generation in strengthening a culture of peaceful dialogue.

As a practical step, Berdimuhamedov proposed creating a network of active, talented and progressive young people from the countries, tasked with promoting ideals of peace, tolerance and constructive intercultural dialogue.
