Mirziyoyev Holds Talks with Energy Investors at Fuel-Energy Council

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Muhammad Abunayyan, co-chair of the Uzbekistan–Saudi Business Council and head of ACWA's board, during the first meeting of the Fuel and Energy Sector Investors Council. The sides discussed expanding practical cooperation and accelerating priority joint projects, as Saudi companies' interest in Uzbekistan's market keeps growing.

Mirziyoyev also received Mehmet Jengiz, head of Cengiz Holding's board, to discuss energy, geology and infrastructure projects, including thermal power plants and modernisation of electricity distribution networks. He also met Rovshan Najaf of SOCAR and Giovanni Cristofolini, senior vice president of British Petroleum, who came to attend the council meeting. Saudi investors thanked Uzbekistan for its favourable investment climate.
