NATO exercises in Baku conclude

NATO exercises in Baku have concluded, with the third meeting of the "Interoperability Initiative for Partner Countries" and a first-level self-assessment exercise taking place within the Partnership for Peace programme between Azerbaijan and NATO. Day.Az reported, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence, that the ministry announced the outcome.

Senior Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence officers, a NATO delegation and a monitoring group observed the exercises. Participants were first briefed on the scenario, safety rules, assessment procedure and objectives. They then carried out practical tasks.

Observers gave high marks to the activities of the units and to the training level, knowledge and skills of the personnel. At the close, distinguished servicemen were presented with certificates, honorary diplomas and other awards.
