Turkmenistan positions itself as a reliable partner for international investors

An annual international conference and exhibition, Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2026 (OGT-2026), is taking place in the country’s capital. The forum is traditionally a key platform for showcasing achievements of the fuel and energy complex, establishing direct business contacts, exchanging global experience and launching new investment projects.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov delivered the keynote address at the opening. He said the country’s energy policy, based on the principles of National Leader Arkadag, is being successfully implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, creating favourable conditions for Turkmenistan’s integration into the global energy system. Turkmenistan, he said, is known as a reliable supplier of natural gas to world markets, with the giant Galkynysh field as its main raw material base, and its phased development guarantees uninterrupted supplies for many years.

Agajanov also noted that the country’s geographic position allows it to diversify export routes, contributing to stability and sustainable development across the region. Turkmenistan is open to proposals from international partners on field development and modern infrastructure. He stressed that the country’s priorities are stability, reliability, economic efficiency and environmental safety, and that the forum’s motto, “Energy. Cooperation. Progress.”, reflects readiness to expand mutually beneficial partnerships and attract foreign investment in large-scale projects.
