Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: justice is highest spiritual value

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed a solemn event marking Republic Day, according to the Akorda press service, as reported by the Qazinform News Agency. He congratulated Kazakhstanis on the national holiday.

Tokayev said that by joining their efforts, Kazakhstanis are building a Just Kazakhstan and establishing the principle of justice in society. He believes justice is the highest spiritual value. A new political party has been named Adilet (Justice).

The president stressed that historical processes should be viewed through the lens of justice and given an objective assessment. He said the name of First President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who made an immense contribution to establishing Sovereign Kazakhstan and to its development under extremely difficult economic conditions, will never be forgotten. This year’s Republic Day celebrations come ahead of the 35th anniversary of independence. According to Tokayev, the country approaches this milestone as a dynamically developing state respected by the international community.
