Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Social Protection and Labour has prepared a draft proposal to raise social benefits and cash compensations from 1 January 2027. The proposal is at the draft stage. It would increase payments to certain categories of citizens by 1–3 thousand soms.
Kyrgyzstan is proposing to raise its minimum wage from 3,280 to 9,800 som starting in 2027. If parliament approves the initiative, the minimum set by law would increase by 6,520 som, or 198.8%. The proposal is included in the draft republican budget for 2027 and the 2028–2029 planning period.
Kyrgyzstan will increase social benefits, certain pensions, supplements and cash compensation for eligible citizens from 1 January 2027, according to Minsotsruda, the ministry. Monthly benefits for children with disabilities under 18 will rise from 8,000 to 11,000 soms. The increase is provided for by a decree signed by President Sadyr Japarov, and additional costs will be covered from the republican budget.
According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health, 21 healthcare facilities were built and completed in 2021-2025 using the republican budget and other sources. Their construction cost a total of 2 billion 612 million 882 thousand soms. In 2026, construction of more than 40 healthcare facilities is being financed with 13 billion 236 million soms. Five facilities are under construction in Bishkek.
On 15 October, Kyrgyzstan's Jogorku Kenesh adopted in third reading amendments to the Labour Code concerning the indexation of wages. The document establishes wage indexation at the legislative level. According to the document, this is necessary to preserve the real purchasing power of salaries.
Salaries of law enforcement officers and military personnel in Kyrgyzstan will rise from December, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said. The increase will amount to 10,000 soms.
