Uzbekistan's President Receives UAE Investors

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the heads of leading United Arab Emirates companies in Tashkent as part of the first meeting of the Investors Council in the fuel and energy sector. The meeting was attended by Mohammad Jamil Al Ramahi, chief executive officer of Masdar, and Hussein Al Nowais, chairman of AMEA Power.

During the meeting, the sides noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of the strategic partnership with the Emirates. Mutual trade has grown by 40 percent since the beginning of the year, and major investment projects are being successfully implemented.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to accelerate and expand projects in areas including green energy, modern infrastructure, industrial and sectoral cooperation, and tourism and services.
